Warzone developers offer anti-cheat update after multiple complaints

Warzone developers are going to implement an anti-cheat update after complaints from multiple players. Since the unveiling of the Pacific era, the number of hackers has increased significantly. The developer assures players that it continues to work hard on its Ricochet anti-cheat system.

The Ricochet anti-cheat program began shortly after the reveal of Pacific season 1. While the program worked well at first, players soon saw many hackers in their game lobbies again. This caused many players to start questioning the anti-cheat. However, the developer tried to rectify this right away and assured players that although the Ricochet program is not perfect, they are „committed to addressing the hacker problem“ according to the Warzone developer team.

In a Twitter post on February 18, Activision released a blog post about the current status of Ricochet. While fans thought the number of hackers was peaking, the developer team claimed otherwise. „RICOCHET was able to quickly determine and disable accounts, which brought cheating in Warzone to a low point during the vacations.

Even though there were reports of hackers with flying Cars and the return of god mode during the vacations, the developer confirmed that the anti-cheat system worked well.

„As time went on, cheat developers looked for new ways to exploit the game. Some have succeeded, many have not.“ Activision also added that the recent spike of cheats „is not at the level it was during Verdansk.“

It was also confirmed that hackers, in game, will be punished with a „Damage Shield. This ensures that identified hackers cannot cause damage to other players.

So while some players think Ricochet is slacking off, the developer claims that the program doesn't work miracles, but it does its job.
