Tekken World Tour 2024

The Tekken World Tour is returning in 2024, and it is set to be bigger and better than ever. Game publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has announced that the tour will now integrate EVO Japan 2024 into its calendar, with Chipotle, Venum, and Victrix by PDP joining the league as commercial partners. The Tekken World Tour is the highest tier of competition in Tekken, a fighting game franchise created in 1994. The game's newest iteration, Tekken 8, is set to be released in late January 2023 and will replace Tekken 7 as the title played during the World Tour.

The competition will start on April 13th during EVO Japan, and BANDAI NAMCO announced that all stops of the World Tour will be in-person events. There will be four types of competitions during the World Tour: Master+, Master, Challenger, and Dojo. The players will earn points, which will then be used to rank them on a global leaderboard. The best point earners from global and regional leaderboards will get the chance to advance to the Global Finals, the last event of the competitive Tekken Season.

This year's edition of the EVO Japan tournament will see the best Tekken 8 players compete at the two Master+ qualifying events in April. The Master+ events are the highest-rated events in Tekken esports. In addition, the game's developer announced that interested third-party organizers can apply to host Dojo tournaments around the world.

To support the new season, BANDAI NAMCO announced three initial partners for the World Tour. American restaurant chain Chipotle will be joined by boxing apparel brand Venum and hardware brand Victrix. Alongside appearing at events and in activations, Venum will offer clothing inspired by Tekken characters Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, and Jin Kazama. Moreover, Victrix will create a series of eight special edition Tekken 8 controllers.

The Tekken World Tour is set to be an exciting event for fans of Tekken and esports in general. With the addition of new commercial partners and the integration of EVO Japan 2024 into the calendar, the tour is sure to attract some of the best players from around the world. The in-person events will also provide an opportunity for fans to see their favorite players in action and experience the excitement of Tekken esports firsthand.
