T1 and RNG play finals MSI 2022

T1 just grabbed the second final spot for the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The Korean team pulverized European G2 Esports 3-0 in the semifinals. In the finals tomorrow, T1 will play China's Royal Never Give Up. The latter team can defend its title tomorrow.

Beforehand, RNG and T1 were already seen as favorites and both teams more than lived up to that role. The two teams finished the group stage without a loss and also in the Rumble Stage RNG and T1 managed to finish as number one and two.

The semi-finals were also no problem for the Asian teams. On Friday, Royal Never Give Up won the first semi-final 3-0 over the American Evil Geniuses, while today T1 swept G2 3-0. That last series, by the way, was labeled by the commentators as one of the most dominant best of fives in a long time.

The MSI finals start tomorrow morning at 10:00 Dutch time. The Korean T1 was seen as the big favorite beforehand, as in the LCK, the Korean League of Legends competition, the team finished 18-0, while they also won the play offs by a large margin. However, in the Rumble Stage, it lost games to RNG, EG and G2, raising doubts again.

On the other hand, Royal Never Give Up won the Chinese LPL with a lot of difficulty. Despite those doubts, it had a very strong Rumble Stage in which it took the first place. However, it lost once to G2 and T1. This is the second time in a row that MSI has had an Asian final. Last year, Royal Never Give Up won over Damwon Kia to take its second MSI title. T1 has also won the tournament, which has been held since 2015, twice
