Partypoker responds to hype and starts working with NFTs

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are one of the biggest hypes at the moment and this is also reflected in the development in the iGaming market. Poker site Partypoker has also announced that it is capitalizing on this hype and will launch its own NFT.

Soon, the so-called Partypoker NFTs will be available for interested parties to buy, whereby, according to the provider, you can „become part owner of a piece of poker history.“

The title of the press release therefore reads, „Own a piece of poker history with Partypoker NFTs.“ In short, NFTs are (non-exchangeable) certificates of the authenticity of digital files such as videos, music, or graphics.

According to the well-known online casino (https://www.casinovergleich.eu/seriose-online-casinos), the NFTs will feature several iconic moments from Partypoker's history. The American company Theta Labs will be responsible to develop and release the NFTs on behalf of Partypoker. Theta Labs has been hailed by Partypoker as a pioneer in the field of video services, which in turn are powered by blockchain technology.

Partypoker has built a rich corporate history over the last 20 years full of amazing poker hands and other epic moments that have taken place during our offline and online events. We are therefore very excited, in partnership with Theta Labs, to give visitors to our platforms the chance to own their own piece of poker history. I am elated that Partypoker is joining the official providers of NFTs.Vadim Soloveychik, Director Partypoker

Partypoker is not the only provider capitalizing on the increasingly important NFTs. We also recently saw how NFTs were incorporated into an online slot from Evolution aptly named NFT Megaways.

What are NFTs?

NFTs, stands for non-fungible tokens, and can be used to make digital creations available, such as online art, video game parts, and music. Access to these digital files can be sold in the form of the NFT.

However, this access is not just limited to the owner of the so-called token that accompanies it, the key, because often a copy of the original file can be found online. NFTs thus do not represent a legal right such as ownership or copyright.
