Is the League of Legends movie coming?

There is no break in League of Legends! Although the Spring Split recently ended in the USA and Europe, the next project is already on the horizon: a feature film!

With League of Legends, Riot Games developed one of, if not the most important eSports game of the last ten years. Millions of people worldwide log into the popular MOBA day after day, follow their favorite teams in one of the numerous competitive leagues (MAD LIons make European history!) or decorate their own room with countless merchandise products.

LoL on the big screen?

Now the developer studio from the USA seems to have discovered another subject area for itself. After it was announced in 2019 that an animated series was being planned and that Valorant, a shooter, and Legends of Runeterra, a digital card game, were released, fans could soon be in for their first big movie.

At least, that's what a new job description suggests. It states that Riot is currently looking for a „Global Head of Live Action Film“. This person would report directly to the President of Global Entertainment and work on the creation of a film for the League of Legends Cinematic Universe.
