Brawl Stars Championship returns and announces changes for 2022

Supercell has unveiled the 2022 esport season of its Brawl Stars game, with a new format, a higher cashpool and the arrival of a mid-season tournament.

Supercell has just announced the first details of the 2022 season of its Brawl Stars Championship (BSC) on Brawl Stars, with a revised format and therefore a bigger cash prize.

The 2022 BSC will begin in February 2022 with a month-long open qualifier that will culminate in a grand finale in March. The format will continue on this model throughout the year with the top teams earning a spot in the 2022 Worlds at the end of the season. The tournaments will be run in a double-elimination format and the company is also announcing a higher prize pool for the monthly finals.

The publisher is also announcing a Mid-Season Invitational, a new competition on the calendar and one that will be held at the midpoint between the top teams. „The best BSC teams will compete head-to-head in a cash-only event,“ says Finn. In total, 16 teams will earn a ticket to the World Finals at the end of the year, including five from the EMEA region.
