Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 brings John Wick back to the Battle Pass, along with his loyal dog as a Sidekick. You can unlock both, and you can also encounter the dog as a non-playable character on the current map.
You need to know where to find him and what steps to complete to add him to your Sidekick collection. This guide shows you how to unlock John Wick’s Dog and where to locate him during Season 3.
John Wick’s Dog Location in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3
You will not always find John Wick’s Dog in the same place each match. Players report inconsistent spawns, with some sightings in the sewers beneath The Battlewoods.
In most matches, you should focus on Sinister Strip. Check the main building where multiple henchmen patrol the interior.
Before you see the dog, you will likely hear loud barking coming from a kennel inside the structure. Use the sound to pinpoint his exact position.
Clear out hostile NPCs and nearby players first. Then interact with the kennel to release him.
After freeing him, pet the dog to trigger a full Health and Shield restore. This interaction also progresses the required quest step.
If he does not appear, queue into another match and land at Sinister Strip again. Repeating this route increases your chances of finding him active in that round.
Unlocking the Dog as Your Companion
You need the Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass, which costs 800 V-Bucks, before you can claim the dog as a Sidekick. Without the pass, you cannot access the reward page tied to this companion.
Reach Level 85 to open Page 15 of the Battle Pass. The dog appears on that page next to the John Wick Pen & Ink style.
After unlocking the page, claim the required rewards in order until you reach the dog. Once redeemed, you keep the Sidekick permanently and can equip it in future matches.
This reward remains available until Chapter 7 Season 3 ends in August, so earn it before the season concludes.
