Team Gullit and Ninjas in Pyjamas join forces

The Dutch FIFA academy, Team Gullit is going to collaborate with the Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas. Together, the organizations will establish TG.NIP.

TG.NIP will be a new FIFA team that will participate in the largest FIFA competition in the world, the FIFA Global Series. Two-time European champion Levi de Weerd and FUT Champions Cup winner Olle ‚Ollelito‘ Arbin make up the team.

Collaboration

Corné Dubelaar, the founder of Team Gullit, is very happy with the cooperation and sees many advantages in it. „We are looking forward to working more intensively with NIP. When EA announced the FGS Masters program, it was time to take the cooperation to the next level. The collaboration provides an opportunity for Team Gullit to continue to focus on talent development, while with TG.NIP can fight for prizes in the biggest tournaments,“ Dubelaar said.

Jonas Gundersen, COO of NIP is also very pleased with the partnership. „As FIFA esports is becoming more professional, I am excited to deepen the cooperation. By participating in the FIFA Global Series together, I expect this relationship to become even closer over time. For us, this is a logical, strategic move,“ says Gundersen.

FGS Masters

The creation of TG.NIP gives both teams access to the FGS Masters program. The FGS Masters program provides access for sixteen selected teams to receive an invitation to the FIFA 22 TOTS Cup, one of the most important tournaments of the season. In addition, the program also acts as a strengthening factor for the competitive FIFA ecosystem.

Founded in 2000, NIP is one of the largest esports teams in the world. It features teams in many different titles, including CS:GO, Rainbow Six, Valorant, League of Legends, FIFA and several mobile games.

Team Gullit
In 2018, Ruud Gullit launched the world's first professional and independent FIFA academy. At Team Gullit, promising talents are guided and trained to reach a top level. Players from the academy have won the FUT Champions Cup or become European champions several times. Team Gullit also offers support in building a personal brand.
