T1 CEO revealed how much the Chinese were offering Faker

Before the season, Faker's contract with T1 was coming to an end. The owner of Korean T1, the most successful organization in League of Legends history, revealed on a podcast how much the Chinese organization offered Faker. Joe Marsh revealed that the Korean player was offered a contract that would see him earn a cosmic $20 million per year. For comparison, Robert Lewandowski currently has a signed contract from which he gets $27 million per year.

Converted into zlotys, Faker could get around 85 million a year, which is seven million a month and a staggering 210 thousand a day. What made the best player in history turn down such an attractive offer? The T1 owner says that Faker decided to extend his contract because he wanted to compete with the best and win trophies.

This shows two very important things. The first is that Faker is an exceptional man who fully deserves his success. Even though he has been playing at the highest level for over nine years now and has achieved everything that could be achieved in LoL, he is still hungry for more success. It is this never-satisfied ambition that drives him forward and has made him an esports icon in the League of Legends.
