Our top 5 Hearthstone cards from Fractured in Alterac Valley

Tonight the new Hearthstone expansion Fractured in Alterac Valley is released, adding 135 new cards to the game. We have made a selection of the five cards that seem the strongest, most fun or most interesting to us.

5. Frostsaber Matriarch

Druids have regularly received cards that have synergy with Beasts over the years. In Fractured in Alterac Valley, they get a bunch of them again, including this cherry on top. Not only does this card work well in an aggressive deck that plays a lot of beasts, slower Druid decks can also take advantage of it due to the great synergy with Glowfly Swarm. In any case, we are very curious to see how good this card will be!

4. To The Front!

Cards that allow you to cheat mana are always dangerous in Hearthstone, and this one is no exception. While the condition that cards remain at least one mana will be real outliers against it, the possibilities with To The Front! are still very large. Do you want to use it in a tempo deck, that wants to play a lot of minions in one turn? Or rather with a slow deck, that uses To The Front! to enable a specific combo? The possibilities are endless!

3. Humongous Owl

This card seems very simple at first glance, just a stupid big minion with a stupid big deathrattle. However, if you think about it a little longer, you come to the discussion that there is more to this card than meets the eye. The fact that it is a beast makes this owl go well with cards like Wing Commander Ichman and N'zoth, God of the Deep. In addition, you can use Deathrattle with legions of deathrattle synergy cards to do unimaginable damage in one go. Add to that the impressive card art, and this overgrown owl quickly rises to the top of our favorites list.

2. Dreadlich Tamsin

Warlocks were without a doubt the strongest class in United in Stormwind, overall. With the release of Alterac Valley, there's a good chance that won't change, courtesy of this super strong new card. This card reminds us of Ultimate Infestation, where you had to pay ten mana for five cards, five damage, five armor and a 5/5 minion. When you play the new Hero Card Dreadlich Tamsin you get a board clear, some armor, a lot of cards and a much stronger hero power. All for just six mana! So get ready for a lot of Warlocks.

1. Shadowcrafter Scabbs

If Dreadlich Tamsin wasn't enough, Rogue is getting an even better Hero Card. In Hearthstone's past, the card Vanish, which allowed a Rogue to pay six mana to return all minions to their owner's hand, was removed from Standard because it was too strong. Shadowcrafter Scabbs does the same thing, but for one extra mana you get two Jungle Panthers, five armor and better Preparation as a hero power. This is such incredible pace in one card, we can't help but give Shadowcrafter Scabbs the undisputed first place in our top 5 cards of Hearthstone: Fractured in Alterac Valley.
