New Brawlhalla season has biggest prize pool ever for a fighting game

Free-to-play fighting game Brawlhalla has shared the roadmap for its upcoming seventh season. In addition, Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games also announced the prize pool for the new season. It will be the largest prize pool ever for a fighting game.

The Brawlhalla Esports 2022 season has a total prize pool of $1.32 million. Each individual event has a larger prize pool than previous years, which has significantly increased the annual amount.

Roadmap

The roadmap reveals that there are four main tournaments in the fall, winter, spring and summer. In between there are several smaller events such as the Japan invitational and three-vs-three Crew Battle Invitational. There are two more unannounced special events coming up that will take place in April and July.

Midway through the season, the Mid Season Invitational will take place with 32 players participating. In November, the seventh season will conclude with the 2022 Brawlhalla World Championship. At the World Championship, the best Brawlhalla players play for a prize pool of $500,000.

Esports

Developer Blue Mammoth is maintaining its partnership with Smash.gg in order to take Brawlhalla esports to the next level. Throughout the year, the various events are both open-entry and pro invitational. This means that in some tournaments, such as the Mid Season Invitational, anyone can sign up and compete.

Future

The developer also let it be known that they are working on new updates to improve the experience for participants and the fans. During the last season, Blue Mammoth promised to pay more attention to this. What is known about this is that there will be new esports viewership rewards for the upcoming season. What this means exactly is not yet known by the developer. In addition, there is also nothing known about what the future update will include.
