Season 2 of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard delayed

The second season of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard has been delayed. The developers have announced this in an official statement. The community is experiencing problems across the Call of Duty franchise. As a result, it has been decided to move the start of Season 2 to Monday, February 14.

In recent weeks several updates have been implemented within Call of Duty. One of these is the mid-season update of Warzone Pacific Season 1. This update only fixed some of the problems. The extra time until the start of the second season is being used by the developers to optimize gameplay, better balance weapons and address bugs.

The developers Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Infinity Ward and Treyarch are not only making the necessary adjustments. The complaints from the community are also being addressed. This is done, among other things, through some quality-of-life updates. The adjustments will be implemented within the latest Call of Duty games on the active platforms. These are the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The Call of Duty community is primarily experiencing problems with bugs and glitches in Warzone Pacific. Since the arrival of Caldera, graphical bugs have been frequent and players are experiencing problems using aircraft in Vanguard Royale. The bugs occur more frequently on consoles than on PC. Furthermore, the implementation of Vanguard in Warzone has negatively affected older games, such as Modern Warfare.

Finally, the lack of the FOV slider in Warzone is a common complaint. Obviously, PC players do have this option. This gives them an unfair advantage over console players. In Call of Duty: Vanguard, console players do have the option of using a FOV slider. It is therefore not unlikely that this will be added to Warzone in the coming weeks.
