Max Verstappen to be world champion according to F1 2021 simulation

Codemasters and Electronic Arts have shared a video of F1 2021, the official simulation game of the F1 World Championship. The video simulates next weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 and shows Max Verstappen becoming world champion.

The game's developer shared the one-off simulated race via social media. It's a fun preview to the spectacle of the upcoming weekend.

Last race

Verstappen and Lewis have accumulated exactly the same number of points this season with only one race to go. The one who manages to finish ahead of the other in the final race will take the world title. EA has seized this opportunity and simulated the unique race.

In the simulation, the Dutchman manages to win the pole position during qualifying on Saturday, with Lewis behind him in 2nd place. On Sunday, Max knows the perfect start from which he builds a good lead. In the simulation you can see how Lewis Hamilton tries everything in his power to catch the young driver, but he sees his eighth world title disappear like snow in the sun. Max Verstappen manages to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and his first world championship.

His British rival crosses the line in second place, securing the constructors‘ title as a consolation prize. Max's teammate, Sergio Perez, completes the podium by securing his sixth podium of the season. Following the Mexican are Valtteri Bottas, who bids farewell to Mercedes with fourth place, and the two Ferrari drivers. Kimi Räikkönen, in his very last race in Formula 1, manages to finish in tenth place, winning the last point of his career.
