Honor of Kings launched in India on March 11, 2026, bringing a wave of new players into the game. As you set up your account, you might have chosen a random username just to get started.
If that name no longer fits your style, you can update it and create an identity that feels right. Changing your in-game name lets you present yourself the way you want every time you enter a match.
Enjoy Your One-Time Free Rename
Honor of Kings lets you update your in-game name once at no cost. You do not need a Name Change Card or any in-game currency for this first edit.
Follow these steps:
- Tap your profile avatar in the top-left corner of the main screen.
- Open Settings in the top-right corner.
- Go to Info (Profile section).
- Select the edit icon next to your current nickname.
- Enter your new name and tap Complete.
The system will only accept an available name. If another player already uses it, you must choose a different one.
Rename Again Using a Name Change Card
After you use your free rename, you must buy a Name Change Card for each additional update.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Shop in the main menu.
- Go to Treasures → Special Offers.
- Select the Daily tab.
- Purchase the Name Change Card for 90 Tokens (about $1 USD).
You can pay with event Tokens, regular Tokens, or combine both if your balance allows.
Key Limits and Requirements
Keep these rules in mind before you update your in-game name:
- 15-day cooldown: You can only rename your account once every 15 days.
- Unique name required: Your chosen name must not already belong to another player.
- Restricted content blocked: The system rejects names with banned words or unsupported symbols.
- Rename Card use is final: The game consumes your Name Change Card immediately after you confirm the new name.
Ways to Unlock a Free Rename Card
You do not need to spend premium Tokens every time you want a new name. The game sometimes includes special in‑game events that reward a Name Change Card at no cost.
Check the Events tab often and review active missions. Limited‑time challenges may grant either a rename card directly or temporary event Tokens.
Use those event Tokens in the in‑game shop to claim a Name Change Card without paying real money. Act before the event period ends, since these rewards remain available only for a set time.
