Valorant Champions 2024 Bundle

Esports revenue has taken a remarkable leap forward with the Valorant Champions 2024 bundle and team capsules. These new offerings have collectively generated over $35 million for the 44 partnered teams involved.

This figure nearly doubles the $20 million earned from last year's esports skins, highlighting the growing financial impact of in-game cosmetic purchases. The announcement was made by John Needham, President of Esports at Riot Games, adding even more excitement to the Valorant Champions 2024 event.

Valorant Champions 2024 Bundle and Team Capsules Reach New Earning Milestone

Riot Games has announced impressive sales figures for the Valorant Champions 2024 bundle and team capsules. Fifty percent of the net income from the team capsules is allocated to the VCT partner teams, providing significant financial benefits to these teams. Unlike last year, where only the 16 teams that qualified for Champions received a share, all VCT partnered teams now get a revenue split from this year's bundles.

The combined sales of the Valorant Champions 2024 bundle and team capsules have surpassed $35 million, marking an impressive milestone. To break this down, when dividing this amount among the 44 participating teams, each team potentially earns around $800,000. This notable increase underscores the growing popularity and economic impact of Valorant esports.

The Valorant Champions 2024 skins were released on August 1, 2024, and fans have until August 29, 2024, to purchase them. The team capsules, released earlier in the year on February 21, 2024, will remain available until September 12, 2024. This extended availability has contributed to the record-breaking sales.

Riot’s initiatives to ensure a broader distribution of earnings among more teams likely contributed to this record-setting performance, further solidifying Valorant’s standing in the esports industry.
