‚Valorant‘ Belgians Nivera and ScreaM make it to playoffs at biggest tournament of the year

All eyes are currently on Valorant Champions, the biggest tournament of the year. Team Liquid, with Belgian players ‚Nivera‘ and ‚ScreaM‘ in its ranks, already manages to reach the play-offs.

Team Liquid is in group B, and that was not exactly the easiest group. They were up against the North American Sentinels, often considered one of the best teams in Valorant, with superstar Tyson ‚TenZ‘ Ngo in the ranks. Also team in form KRÜ Esports and the Brazilian FURIA Esports are in group B.

In their opening match against KRÜ Esports, Team Liquid quickly showed why they are considered one of the top favorites at the tournament, as they won easily 13-5 (Haven) and 13-8 (Ascent). To reach the playoffs, however, they had to get past Sentinels, and that match did not go without a fight. After a difficult 14-12 win over Breeze, Sentinels wiped out Team Liquid's boys at Bind (13-2). Liquid, however, did not let up and finished it off at Split with 13-10. Especially Belgian Nabil ‚Nivera‘ Benrlitom played superbly, albeit from a different location due to a positive coronatest.

For Team Liquid it is now a matter of waiting to see who will be their first opponent in the play-offs. Other teams that could already advance are Gambit Esports and Fnatic. Today and tomorrow all remaining matches will be played. Sentinels also still has a chance of reaching the next round, but then it has to get past KRÜ Esports.
