Tencent kicks 57 teams out of PUBG Mobile PMCO Spring Split for cheating

Tencent has pulled out the „Ban Hammer“ and kicked 44 teams out of one of its PUBG Mobile tournaments for cheating (or at least trying to).

PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split 2021 is an international esports tournament in which a multitude of PUBG Mobile teams face each other in different phases before reaching the playoffs in which only the 16 best teams will participate.

This PMCO has always been quite criticized for sneaking in teams with cheating players although, in this edition, Tencent seems to have taken note of the mistakes of the past and has been vigilant and has expelled a total of 57 teams for different reasons including cheating.

44 of these teams were eliminated in the qualifiers while the last 13 received their „ban“ in the group stage leaving the tournament free of cheaters and actions that violate the integrity of the championship or its code of conduct.

Tencent makes this data public for the first time

This is the first time in the history of the PMCO that Tencent makes public the list of the teams that have been disqualified after the criticism it had previously received from the community that, precisely, asked for more transparency in the process.

Below is the list of the disqualified teams:
