Overwatch fans not happy after unveiling new Hero

Overwatch fans are very disappointed after the reveal of the first Overwatch 2 Hero Sojourn. Activision Blizzard, to the dismay of many fans, could not show any real gameplay of the new hero. With the beta period almost upon us, Blizzard has finally confirmed that Sojourn, Overwatch's first Canadian hero, will be joining the other Hero's. The developers also revealed a lot about Soujourn's abilities and also showed a short piece of gameplay. However, many fans are not so happy with how the reveal went.

On April 14, the Overwatch developers revealed a short gameplay trailer and held a community Q&A about Sojourn, but this unfortunately did not meet fans‘ expectations.

„Did Blizzard just hold an hour-long livestream about a new hero without showing gameplay?“ asked Redditor TheBiggestCarl23. „And then end with „wait a few more weeks?“ I thought they had learned, apparently not.“ Many Overwatch players agreed with the Reddit user. „I watched the whole hour and felt disappointed when it was over,“ added one disappointed player.

„Talking about Sojourn's skin color and backstory is important, Overwatch has always done this for new Hero's, but at least talk about her abilities and how she behaves towards other heroes in Overwatch 2,“ said b4trik.

Blizzard has more news and livestreams scheduled, thankfully, but it remains to be seen if the developer can exceed fans‘ expectations.

Hype surrounding Overwatch 2

The hype surrounding Overwatch 2 has been increasing ever since Blizzard first announced that they would be releasing a sequel to the popular Overwatch title.

After Overwatch 2 was first announced in November 2019, development has been slower than fans had hoped. After a long wait, the developers have finally revealed some details about gameplay changes, the PvE side of the new game and new Hero's.
