Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked Assault

You can jump back into classic Assault maps with Quick Play Hacked in Overwatch 2. Hanamura, Volskaya Industries, and Temple of Anubis rotate into this limited-time mode, giving you a familiar format tuned for modern pacing.

The Season 20 mid-season patch brings this mode alongside balance updates and new cosmetic highlights, including Mythic Magma Titan Doomfist. You can find Quick Play Hacked within the Unranked playlist while the event runs.

Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked Assault

You can access Quick Play Hacked: Assault for a short window running from January 8 through January 11. This limited-time playlist revives the classic Assault format and places it into a modern Overwatch 2 structure. The mode focuses on three maps that normally remain unavailable in standard play.

The map pool stays intentionally narrow. You rotate only through HanamuraVolskaya Industries, and Temple of Anubis. Map voting still occurs before each match, which gives you some control over where you deploy without expanding the pool beyond these locations.

To enter, you select Quick Play Hacked: Assault from the main menu. From there, you choose one of several queue types that change how teams form and how roles function.

Available queue options include:

Mode Team Size Queue Type Key Rules
5v5 Role Queue Five per team Locked roles You select a role before the match
6v6 Open Queue Six per team Open roles Up to two tanks allowed
Mystery Heroes Varies Open roles Heroes change on respawn

In Mystery Heroes, you start with a random hero and receive perks immediately. Each elimination triggers a new hero assignment, which keeps team compositions in constant flux. This structure emphasizes adaptability rather than long-term hero mastery within a single match.

All versions of the mode preserve Assault’s core objective flow. You attack or defend capture points while managing tighter chokes and coordinated pushes. The updated pacing reduces downtime while maintaining the original map layouts.

Quick Play Hacked: Assault functions as a test environment. You experience legacy maps under current balance rules, team sizes, and perk systems. The format encourages experimentation without affecting competitive rankings or long-term progression.
