LoL: kk0ma unveils the Korean selection for the Asian Games 2022

The 10 players shortlisted for the LoL competition at the Asian Games have been announced. Six of them will be chosen to represent South Korea later this year.

South Korea will participate in the Asian Games 2022 for the first time in the esport scene, including the League of Legends competition. For this, the coach kk0ma has been appointed coach of the team by the KeSPA and has just revealed the 10 players shortlisted to be part of the official selection that will be able to play an Olympic title from 10 to 25 September 2022 in Hangzhou, China.

The list includes no less than 5 T1 players, which is not surprising given that the team had a historic first half of the season, the first in the KCL to finish the split undefeated, also breaking several individual and team records. Zeus, Oner, Gumayuzi, Faker and Keria are the obvious favorites to stay in the group, but they will be competing with Kiin from Freecs, but also with some of the most important players in Korea: Canyon from DWG KIA, Chovy from Gen.G, or Deft and Beryl from DRX.

By June, kk0ma will have to select its roster of 5 starters and 1 substitute for the official competition. According to the KeSPA, which will evaluate the players, they will have to undergo a strict evaluation process, ranging from the ability to handle pressure to the team ranking and their participation in the branding of South Korea. As a reminder, the country will play the Asian Games 2022 esport competition with 4 other teams: FIFA 22, Hearthstone, Street Fighter V and PUBG Mobile.
