DreamHack Sports Games expands

The Swedish Professional Football League (SEF) and DreamHack Sports Games have agreed on a new long-term cooperation around the Swedish professional league eAllsvenskan.

Starting in 2021, the two cooperation partners will work together as part of the EA SPORTS FIFA Global Series. According to the official press release, „This will allow the Swedish Football League to take its eSports activities to the next level and expand its own reach to a huge audience through the clubs‘ fan bases.“

The SEF represents 32 soccer clubs from Sweden's two top soccer leagues. 17 of them already field active teams in the virtual league eAllsvenskan.

The market of the future

The SEF works „In the interest of all clubs in the Allsvenskan (1st league) and Superettan (2nd league).“ The organization's goal is to support its member clubs by taking a leading role in the development of sports, finance, commerce and administration.

DreamHack Sports Games has been running virtual leagues in Denmark (eSuperliga) and the Netherlands (eDivisie) for some time. With eAllsvenska, the offer on the Scandinavian market will be expanded even further. The aim of the cooperation is also to reach the next generation of sports-mad fans and bring classic clubs to life in the virtual world.
