Commentator Marc „Caedrel“ Lamont will leave the LEC after all? A telling tweet

After ending his career as a player Marc „Caedrel“ Lamont joined the English LEC commentary team. His debut season in his new role can be considered really successful. Fans almost immediately liked him very much and he has already commentated the semi-finals of the World Championships. However, it looks like his commentary career will take a break.

The fact that Caedrel may not commentate LEC was rumored already a few months ago. It was related to unofficial reports that the former player is interested in coaching. He was supposed to become a coach of Team Vitality, which created a real team of stars this year.

At the time, however, Caedrel clearly disassociated himself from the rumors.

– I will remain a commentator. There are many reasons for this decision, but the main one is that I don't feel like I've experienced everything as a commentator. After all, I haven't even had the opportunity to commentate on a meet with audience participation. Nor do I want to change professions after one year,“ Caedrel wrote on Twitter.

Now the interested party himself has cast doubt on these words. He quoted his previous tweet writing only that „this has not aged well“. What exactly does that mean? We do not know yet. However, most likely it is some kind of complications with reaching an agreement with Riot Games on commentating LEC next year.

However, in the past there were already various situations between the broadcasting team and the developer, so it is possible that in the season of 2022 we will see the British in the studio LEC anyway.
