Black Ops 7 Warzone: How to Unlock the Swordfish A1

You can use the Swordfish A1 once again in Call of Duty as it joins Black Ops 7 and Warzone during Season 2 Reloaded. Many players remember its four-round burst and steady recoil pattern from earlier titles, where it quickly became a popular choice in multiplayer.

This updated version brings the classic marksman rifle back with adjustments for the current meta. If you want to add it to your loadout, you need to complete the required unlock steps introduced with the Season 2 Reloaded update.

Getting the Swordfish A1 in Black Ops 7 and Warzone

You unlock the Swordfish A1 through a limited-time in-game event rather than the Season 2 Battle Pass. The weapon arrives with the Season 2 Reloaded update, but it becomes obtainable a few days later through a dedicated event.

The required event is Counter Skies, which launches on March 17, shortly after Reloaded goes live on March 12. A separate event, Altitude Tactics, appears earlier, but it does not grant access to this marksman rifle.

To earn the base version of the Swordfish A1, you must complete the free reward track tied to Counter Skies.

  • The free track includes 9 total challenges
  • You must finish all nine challenges
  • Completion unlocks the Swordfish A1 at no cost

You do not need to buy the premium event pass to receive the weapon. The paid track adds extra cosmetic and bonus rewards, but the rifle itself sits in the free tier.

If you prefer immediate access, watch for a store bundle that includes a Swordfish A1 blueprint. The release date and pricing for that bundle have not been confirmed. Purchasing the bundle grants a pre-built variant, allowing you to use the weapon without completing event challenges.

Choose the method that fits your playstyle—either complete every required challenge during Counter Skies or obtain the blueprint when it becomes available in the store.
