Nova Esports, the last remaining Asian representative at the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025, concluded their run after a decisive loss to KRU Blaze. The match marked the end of Asia’s presence in this year’s global event, highlighting the challenges faced by the region’s teams against strong international competition.

Their elimination closed a chapter for Asian contenders who sought to make an impact on the world stage. As the tournament advances, the focus shifts to how other regions adapt and perform in pursuit of the championship title.

Nova vs KRU

The lower-bracket clash between Nova Esports and KRÜ Blaze determined who would stay in the Game Changers Championship 2025. Nova entered as China’s only representative, coming off an early-round loss that forced them into this elimination scenario. KRÜ, representing the Latin American region, sought redemption after falling to Team Liquid.

The match opened on Split, an intense map that pushed into overtime before KRÜ sealed it 16–14. The tension carried into Haven, but KRÜ maintained control and closed the series with a 13–4 finish, completing the 2–0 sweep.

Nova’s exit marked the end of Asia’s presence in the tournament, while KRÜ advanced to continue their lower-bracket run.

Asia exits GCC 2025

Asian representatives faced an early exit at the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025 after a string of defeats and difficult bracket placements. Xipto were the first to leave, falling to NTZ in a lower-bracket matchup that saw two Pacific teams face each other. NTZ landed in that position following their earlier loss to Nova Esports.

The Korean roster NTZ later fell to MIBR Game Changers, sealing their elimination. Despite these setbacks, Nova Esports achieved a milestone as the first Chinese squad to claim both a map and a match victory at an international Game Changers event.

Both Nova Esports and Ninetails ended the tournament tied for 7th–8th place.
