100 Thieves separates its two recruits, BabyJ and ec1s, after only two games
It didn't seem to work for 100 Thieves at the beginning of the season on VALORANT. The structure already parted with BabyJ and ec1s, their two new recruits, after the bad results in Challengers of VCT NA Stage 1.
Today, we have made the difficult decision to release @BxbyJ_ & @ec1s_, effective immediately, as we continue to build for the future.
We would like to thank Adam and Hunter for their contributions to #100T VALORANT and we wish them both the best moving forward. pic.twitter.com/Ixbu0VLF3c

Today, there are big changes in the news on VALORANT. Adam „ec1s“ Eccles and Hunter „BabyJ“ Schline were the two most recent additions to the 100 Thieves roster. Recruited during the month of December, they were called in to fill the spots left vacant by steel and nitr0, who had recently left the team. While they have only played two games for the Thieves, they are already on their way out, due to the poor results the team is currently experiencing in the NA Challengers.
They only played two matches with the rest of the roster at the Challengers, which ended in two losses, 2-0 to Cloud9 and 2-1 to The Guard. In their match against The Guard, which took place yesterday, the Thieves had their first 13-0 loss since joining the VALORANT competitive scene on Ascent. In view of these results, the structure has decided to part with ec1s and BabyJ, who do not seem to fit well in the direction the team was taking. We are free to think that their future in the roster was decided during their match against The Guard, since the announcement of their departure was made shortly after this defeat.
To replace them, the Californian team decided to bring in Sean „bang“ Bezerra and Noah „jcStani“ Smith, respectively from Built By Gamers and Pioneers, who join the 100 Thieves on loan. They didn't come close to qualifying for the Challengers with their teams and will now try to make up for the somewhat negative record the 100 Thieves have had this early in the season. Neither of them will be taking over the IGL role that ec1s left behind, however, as it was Ethan who confirmed that he would be taking over that responsibility for the team.
