Is Black Ops Royale getting a Solos playlist?
Right now, you cannot queue for a dedicated Solos playlist in Black Ops Royale. The mode launched with Quads only, and the developers have not provided a confirmed release date for Solo play.
Raven Software chose to begin with a single squad size because Quads consistently ranks as the most played format across Warzone. By limiting options at launch, the team can focus on evaluating how you and other players respond to the new mode’s core mechanics before expanding playlist variety.
In a recent update, the studio acknowledged community questions about squad sizes. The developers explained that Black Ops Royale is still new, and they want to monitor player feedback and gameplay data before making broader structural changes.
That approach means:
- No Solos at launch
- No confirmed timeline for Duos or Trios
- Quads remains the only standard public option
However, the studio has publicly recognized player demand for Solos. Developers stated they are aware of the feedback and intend to continue discussions about adding more ways to play. That keeps the possibility open, even if it is not an immediate priority.
If you prefer playing alone, you will need to squad-fill or enter matches without coordinated teammates for now. There is currently no public matchmaking option designed specifically for solo competitors.
Based on how frequently players request a Solo queue, it would not be surprising to see changes once the developers stabilize the mode and address broader gameplay concerns. Until then, you should expect Quads to remain the primary and only standard playlist available in Black Ops Royale.
