Vodafone Giants 4 Everyone, the new project to boost women’s participation in esports

Vodafone Giants presents a new project for Spain that aims to boost the female presence in the video game and e-sports industry. Vodafone Giants, the most important esports club in Spain today, has launched this week a new initiative with which they intend to boost the role of women in e-sports.

This initiative is Vodafone Giants 4 Everyone, a project in which activities and championships will be carried out to promote and increase the activity of women in Esports.

The actions will be of two types, training meetings that will take place in schools and other educational spaces, as well as the programming of a series of amateur tournaments in which the teams will be mixed.

With this, the giants want to help the incorporation of young women to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and on the other hand bet to increase the pool of female players within the eSports sector.

Tournaments throughout 2021

The tournaments that will be part of Vodafone Giants 4 Everyone will be held throughout 2021 with the first one taking place between March 19 and 21. A total of €5,000 will be distributed and participating teams must have at least two female players.

In addition, the winning team of the event will participate in the Storm Circuit, the National Amateur LoL League, and will represent Vodafone Giants Academy.
