Waylay, the new Duelist, is set to make waves with her introduction in the latest VALORANT patch 10.04. First seen during the Masters Bangkok Showmatch, she stands out with her light-based abilities, allowing her to move rapidly and immobilize opponents by stunning them. This combination of speed and control makes her a formidable addition to the game.

Adjustments to Agents‘ Abilities

The latest update in VALORANT's 10.04 patch brings several modifications to agent abilities, aiming to refine gameplay dynamics and balance. Here are the significant changes for each of the agents affected.

Clove

  • Meddle: The projectile now detonates after coming into contact with the ground following a 0.75-second countdown, replacing the previous 1.3-second timer. This alteration is accompanied by updated sound effects.
  • Ruse: The cooldown period has been extended from 30 to 40 seconds.
  • Pick Me Up: Health enhancement lasts from 8 to 10 seconds. However, the movement speed boost is now limited to 3 seconds instead of 8.

Deadlock

  • Barrier Mesh: Now functions as a standard ability costing 400 credits, previously being free.
  • GravNet: This is now the agent’s signature move with a cooldown of 40 seconds, having a reduced size from 16 meters to 13 meters. The update also includes improved auditory signals, allowing all players to hear when foes break free.

Iso

  • Undercut: Reduced availability from two charges to one, with its cost increasing from 200 to 300 credits. This skill now induces Suppression alongside Vulnerability on opponents for four seconds.
  • Contingency: Introduces an alternate firing mode that slows the wall's speed.
  • Double Tap: Receives a Heavy Penetration designation, modifying the behavior when Iso's shield is down, slowing him more than before.
  • Kill Contract: Automatically provides Double Tap enhancements if Iso lacks them, ensuring a generated orb upon won duels.

Neon

Her directional clarity is improved with an updated visual effect surrounding her Overdrive ability.

Tejo

  • Guided Salvo: Inflicts less damage, reduced from 70 to 65. Against non-character items, its effectivity drops to 50%.

VALORANT Patch 10.04 Map Rotation

With the release of the VALORANT 10.04 patch, players will see an updated map rotation. Returning to the competitive and deathmatch queues are Ascent and Icebox, while Abyss and Bind have been removed from the lineup. There is a noteworthy alteration to the Ascent map. At B Main, a section of the wall along B Lane has been modified to become a non-pennable wall, changing gameplay dynamics for players engaging in that area. These updates focus on enhancing strategic diversity and player experience.
