The top 5 eSports titles to bet on

Don't know much about e-sports yet? There are a lot of popular games where they have professional leagues with lots of sponsorship money and grueling training regimes. Don't think that these „gamers“ sit quietly in their pajamas in front of the PC pushing buttons. Online bookmakers are not going to waste time on amateur leagues, games like League of Legends & Counter-Strike are super competitive.

1. Fifa or Esoccer

Since we are mainly interested in betting on soccer, Esoccer is immediately a big standout for us. FIFA is now so realistic that it almost looks like real soccer. Of course, this also means that the same strategies are used, and that nothing has changed beyond the fact that this is a game.

What's nice is that there is also a FIFA Eworld Cup. Here the best players play against each other for the title of best FIFA player in the world. Note that there are different categories because there are separate game consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, PC). So there are multiple champions at this championship. We are already looking forward to the FIFA 21 esports championships.

2. League of Legends

League of Legends, or simply ‚LoL‘, provides a roleplaying action game in which you have to play with 2 teams of 5 against each other with the aim of destroying the opponent's ‚Nexus‘. Because it is such a strategic game, pro teams are in direct communication with each other through headphones and microphones.

Don't know anything about this game? The most important thing is the composition of the teams. Usually the main central player is the „Mid Laner“ who controls the game from you guessed it, in the middle of the map. The task of this player depends on the specific composition of the teams.

What do you mean by that? Well… there are currently 148 unique ‚Heroes‘ that players can choose to compose their squads with. These characters each have strengths and weaknesses, with each having 4 unique ‚abilities‘ and 1 passive ability. So because of this, teams are always trying to make a choice in terms of how well these ‚heroes‘ work together as a collective.

As leagues go, you have a separate league in each region, such as Europe with the EU LCS, and the NA LCS in America (including Canada, although most teams are based in California). The best league in the world is most likely the Korean LCK, which is an outlier in any esport. The winners (and multiple teams depending on League ranking) of these leagues play in Worlds League of Legends against each other for the world title.

3. Counter-Strike: CS GO

Maybe you've played the legendary classic Counter-Strike 1.6 yourself? Even up to the present day, a fair number of stubborn gamers still play this heavily outdated shooter, and that says a lot about the quality of the concept. The new CS GO came out a few years ago and is graphically a huge improvement. As a result, there are numerous teams playing this shooter professionally with a lot of big money!

During a typical CS GO match, you have two teams that compete against each other. The terrorists plant a bomb on 1 of 2 targets, and the Counter-terrorists try to avoid it. The team that takes out all opponents also wins the round immediately, of course. So there are numerous maps used in the competitive scene, on which a lot of strategies must be prepared. So if we look at this game and the framework of gambling, you should do a little research on the maps and teams. Some teams do better on some maps than others.

The ESL Pro League remains the only real league in which professional play is played. So if you want to round out your sports betting bonus on Esports, you will have to bet on ESL.

4. Dota 2

You can compare this game very hard to League of Legends. Dota originated as a game made as a custom map expansion for the very old WarCraft 3. Due to its gigantic popularity, eventually the independent Dota was made, the predecessor of Dota 2.

Again like LoL, you have 5 players in two teams trying to destroy the opponent's Nexus. So the game works just the same, but has different heroes and strategies due to the many differences. You can bet on 6 regional leagues where then the winners of course play against each other for the world championship.

5. Starcraft II

Finally we take the strategic Starcraft II. The predecessor of this game was a true revolution in the world of RTS (real time strategy) games. Each player can choose between 3 different ‚races‘ each of which has its unique advantages & disadvantages. The Terrans (humanity) have a lot of mechanical troops and have a big focus on economy. Mining resources is much faster with ‚Terrans‘ due to the popular ‚Mule drops‘ that increase your income.

The Protoss are the second race, and they are a technologically superior society that constantly interact with each other as a collective. They do still have the ability of ‚free will‘. What is unique about Protoss is that these their units and buildings all have back charging shields. Although their troops can never be healed these had to be hit on top of their (electromagnetic) shields.

Finally, there is the classic Zerg. A collective collection of mutated monsters that only act as 1. As a Zerg you have no free will, and you must listen to the „Queen“. Because of this they have the largest number of units in the game, and they have many other advantages such as spreading creep, which gives you a constant vision of the map, and allows your units to move faster.

The goal of the creators is therefore always to find a balance between the 3 races, so that the Pro scene is reasonably competitive without 1 race winning every cup. For betting on Starcraft II you have many leagues like the ESL, GSL and many more smaller tournaments.
