Riot Games announces a rework for Aurelion Sol

Having been one of the least played champions on League of Legends for several years, Aurelion Sol will be receiving a rework in the coming months.

Released in 2016, Aurelion Sol has received a lot of buzz from the community due to its different design from other champions. However, this craze quickly faded away and lasted only a few weeks. One of the reasons for the decline in interest in the Star Blacksmith is simply his spell set. In addition, the power of his spells is low despite all the adjustments made by Riot Games.

In fact, to counterbalance all this, the creator of League of Legends announced in its April roadmap a complete rework of Aurelion Sol's spells. Specifically, it will be a full gameplay update (FGU), which is a first for a character in the game. This is a first test for Riot Games and if it works, the studio will repeat the experience on other champions that need it.

As for the first information about this rework, we learn that the focus will be on the dragon fantasy to really highlight this part of the character. Its gameplay should also be „spectacular to see and more intuitive to play“ which sounds exciting. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for some time since we shouldn't see this new version of Aurelion Sol for many months.

Alongside this announcement, Riot Games has revealed that a new jungler will be arriving on Summoner's Rift. If we don't know much about it for the moment, we might learn more about it in the coming weeks. Finally, new images of the rework of the Udyr Spirit Keeper skin have been released.
