Overwatch Season 1 Competitive Drives give you a limited-time chance to earn exclusive rewards before the new season begins on April 14. If you compete in ranked modes, you can unlock special items and bonuses tied directly to your performance during this event.
You still have time to secure your Season 1 rewards and prepare for what carries into Season 2. Understanding what’s available and how the system works helps you make the most of your remaining matches.
Overwatch Competitive Drives explained
Competitive Drives run for a short period near the end of each season. You compete in ranked modes to increase your Drive Score as much as possible before the event ends.
Your score determines two key rewards:
- Drive Signature appearance
- Competitive Points earned
As your Drive Score climbs, your Signature gains higher prestige tiers and becomes more visually distinct. When the new season begins, you can equip that Signature and display it during matches, signaling how far you pushed your performance during the event.
Overwatch Competitive Drives Season 1 Rewards
You earn rewards by hitting specific Drive Score milestones during the limited-time Competitive Drive event. Each checkpoint grants either Competitive Points or an upgraded version of the seasonal Signature.
| Drive Score | Reward |
|---|---|
| 500 | 500 Competitive Points |
| 1,000 | Drive Signature |
| 1,600 | 1,000 Competitive Points |
| 2,200 | Advanced Signature |
| 3,000 | 1,500 Competitive Points |
| 4,000 | Elite Signature |
The Season 1 Signature features a red and orange color scheme with a bold, high-energy design.
After you complete all milestones once—and then repeat the full track a seventh time—you unlock an Insignia. Insignias display a more elaborate visual style and show your continued progress during the event.
How the Overwatch Drive Score Works
Your Drive Score increases or decreases based on your results in specific ranked playlists during a Competitive Drive event. Each match directly adds or removes points, so performance matters every game.
In standard Competitive matches, a win grants 210 points. A loss deducts points based on your current checkpoint, with reductions capped at 63 points.
Ranked Overwatch Stadium offers higher risk and reward. A win awards 265 points, while a loss can remove up to 80 points depending on your progress tier.
If you queue with a group and secure a victory, you earn an extra 50-point bonus on top of the base reward. This bonus does not apply to losses.
| Mode | Win Reward | Max Loss Penalty |
|---|---|---|
| Competitive Play | 210 | 63 |
| Ranked Overwatch Stadium | 265 | 80 |
You build your Drive Score by stacking wins and protecting your progress from large deductions.
