MK1 Patch Notes August 2024 Hotfix

The latest update for Mortal Kombat 1 introduces significant adjustments for a newly added DLC character as well as several Kameo fighters. These changes aim to enhance the gameplay experience by meticulously balancing character abilities.

This hotfix arrived without prior notice, with adjustments implemented automatically. The update includes character balance changes and improvements for Kameo Fighters.

Takeda

Takeda, a DLC character, received several significant changes. His Enhanced Swift Stride now has an extended active armor by 10 frames. The Shooting Star and Falling Star (in the air) moves now hit low instead of mid. Additionally, Swift Stride Phase is no longer an overhead move; it is now classified as mid.

Frost (Kameo)

Frost's Snow Flakes assist saw multiple buffs. Snow Flakes Cancel allows the main fighter to recover more quickly. The recharge delay for Snow Flakes has been reduced by 120 frames, and the recharge itself is now faster. Frost exits the stage 15 frames sooner than before.

Ferra (Kameo)

Ferra experienced some nerfs in this update. Her health has been reduced from 450 to 350. The blockstun for Torr Stance: Slide! is now 5 frames shorter, making it less effective.

Tremor (Kameo)

Tremor's various assists underwent numerous recharge adjustments. Rolling RockTransmute Ground Pound, and Transmute Lava Burst now recharge slightly faster. For Ground PoundTransmute Rock Punch, and Transmute Rolling Rock, the recharge rate has been significantly improved.

The recharge delay for Transmute Lava Burst and Transmute Crystal Wall Punch has been reduced by 40 frames. Transmute Crystal Armor's delay is down by 180 frames. Transmute Rock Punch sees a delay reduction of 50 frames, while Transmute Rolling Rock enjoys a 60-frame decrease. However, Ground Pound now has a 30-frame longer recharge delay, which is a noticeable nerf.
