Season 2 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone arrives on February 5, bringing new updates across multiplayer, battle royale, Zombies, and Endgame. You can expect fresh content designed to expand how you play across every mode.
New weapons often draw the most attention, and the EGRT-17 assault rifle stands out as one of the key additions. You have multiple options to unlock this rifle once the season begins, making it accessible through different playstyles.
Unlock the EGRT-17 in Black Ops 7 Season 2
You can access the EGRT-17 as soon as Season 2 goes live because the rifle sits on the Season 2 Battle Pass. The weapon does not require a premium purchase, so you can earn it on the free track by progressing through tiers.
The EGRT-17 appears on Battle Pass Page 6 as a High-Value Target (HVT) reward. You must unlock every item on that page before the rifle becomes available. The system keeps the process straightforward and consistent with other seasonal weapons.
You earn Battle Pass Tokens by playing matches across Black Ops 7 or Warzone. You can also buy tokens with COD Points if you want to move faster. After you clear Page 6, you can equip the EGRT-17 immediately in Create-a-Class.
Ways to unlock the EGRT-17
| Method | What you need to do | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Free Battle Pass | Unlock all tiers on Page 6 (HVT) | Free |
| Premium Battle Pass | Same requirement, faster token earn | Paid |
| Store bundle | Buy a blueprint when available | Paid |
If you want a more customized look, Season 2 includes a dedicated EGRT-17 blueprint on Page 14. This blueprint also sits behind an HVT requirement, so you must complete the entire page to claim it. The standard blueprint comes with the regular Battle Pass.
Players who purchase BlackCell gain access to an additional BlackCell variant of the same blueprint. The variant focuses on visual changes rather than gameplay advantages.
You can also skip Battle Pass progression by purchasing a store bundle that includes an EGRT-17 blueprint. Activision plans to release this bundle around the start of Season 2. Pricing and exact timing remain unconfirmed, but availability should follow shortly after the seasonal update.
Once unlocked by any method, the EGRT-17 becomes usable across both Black Ops 7 and Warzone without restrictions.
