Forza Horizon 6 has launched to strong anticipation, but many PC players cannot get past the startup screen. Alongside early leaks, technical issues have disrupted access for some users.
One of the most common problems is the “Invalid Gaming Services Detected” error, which blocks the game from launching. If you see this message, you can resolve it with a few targeted steps and get back on the road quickly.
Resolve the “Invalid Gaming Services Detected” Error in Forza Horizon 6
You usually fix this launch error by updating Microsoft Gaming Services on your PC. The game depends on this background component, and an outdated version often blocks startup.
Follow these steps to update it:
- Press the Windows key, type Microsoft Store, and open it.
- Select Library or Downloads from the lower-left corner.
- Click Get updates or Check for updates.
- Locate Gaming Services in the list.
- Choose Update next to it.
If you see no update option, your system already runs the latest version.
If Gaming Services does not appear in the list, install it manually. Search for Gaming Services in the Microsoft Store and select Install. Restart your PC after installation to refresh background services.
You can also repair the app if the error continues. Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Gaming Services, select Advanced options, then choose Repair. Use Reset only if repair fails.
After updating or reinstalling Gaming Services, launch Forza Horizon 6 again to confirm the issue is resolved.
