If you want to get an eSports betting bonus, click on the button. If not, read on to learn everything about this topic. The whole world is talking about eSports betting being the next big thing, but nobody really comes out of the woodwork when it comes to explaining things in more detail.

With esportbetting.net we want to try to bring some light into the darkness, because eSports are our passion. We will try to answer all your questions about betting on computer games and thus give you the necessary tools to make the most of what we have to offer.

esportbetting and Esport

The most important question for eSports betting: Where can you bet on eSports? At which bookmakers are the most important tournaments covered, which one is a specialist for eSport betting CS:GO? Where should League of Legends experts place bets? We started by collecting the best eSports providers in our bookmaker department, researching and – most importantly – evaluating them so you know what to expect.

  1. The best betting sites for Esport
  2. Exclusive bonus offers, free bets
  3. Our best bookies

Please be patient if some features of the site are not yet available. However, we have made it our goal to cover League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Dota 2 and of course eSport Betting CS:GO. Since we primarily play Counter Strike ourselves, the focus will be on this at first, but the other games will be added successively. We also plan to include Hearthstone and (in the long run) Minecraft and FIFA. But first we will go by pure popularity – the game with the most offered eSports bets comes first, the rest will follow step by step.

WHAT IS ESPORT?

Esports is an abbreviation for electronic sports and competitive video games on a professional level. Just as in classic sports like golf and tennis tournaments where the best players in the world compete for cash prizes and recognition, so does this sport. It brings together individual players or teams of players to compete in competitive video games such as League of Legends and Overwatch. These competitions are exciting spectator sports whose popularity amazes fans. So you can easily answer the question What is esport? It is a virtual sport. It is becoming more and more popular because there are more and more gamers.

CS GO BETTING Sites

Esport's bookmakers are currently divided roughly into four sub-sectors. Here we will go into detail about the individual subspecies:

WHICH BOOKMAKERS CAN BET WITH FROM E-SPORTS?

Tipico, ComeOne, bet90 and Interwetten. These are well-known online bookmakers who have simply added the most popular events to their range and now cover more poorly than right (usually only the classic winning bet). Often handicap bets can also be found in the markets when the level of the teams is not really comparable. At LoL esports for example, there are bets on the first killed dragon and the team with First Blood. Anyway, you realize: the possibilities are many and varied. Especially when it comes to Lol bets.

SPECIALIZED BOOKMAKERS

Some brand-new providers are also scratching their hooves, but often still have to fight with teething troubles and have to prove their seriousness. Among these new special bookmakers is, for example, the provider ESportGaming.

  • In-game items: These are pages where items are gambled, for example weapon skins. Real money is not involved here. An example for such a site is csgolounge.
  • Daily-Fantasy-Sports: A possible trend that could spill over from the USA to Europe as soon as the necessary licenses are granted. The players set up a fantasy team and compete against each other. The results are based on the results in the real world. Draftkings and fan duels are the most famous examples.

WHAT CAN YOU BET ON AT E-SPORTS?

  • The classic win bet: You know this type of bet from soccer, for example. Here, before the game starts, it is determined who will win the game at the end.
  • Handicap or spread betting: A betting form where a handicap is imposed on one of the two teams before the start. This means that the team you bet on must win by a certain margin in order for the handicap to pass. This betting form has its origins in soccer and base-ektball betting and is used to achieve reasonable odds even if one of the teams is heavily favored.
  • In certain games and events you can also find special betting markets.

For bookmakers, eSports betting is divided into two areas:

The classic win bet: You know this type of bet from soccer, for example. Here, before the start, it is determined who will win the game at the end.
Handicap or spread bets: A betting form where a handicap is imposed on one of the two teams before the start. This means that the team you bet on must win by a certain margin in order for the handicap to pass. This betting form has its origins in soccer and baseball betting and is used to achieve reasonable odds even if one of the teams is heavily favored.
In certain games and events you can also find special betting markets.

WHAT EVENTS ARE THERE FOR 2019 AND 2020?

On the eSport Games calendar there are big events all year round that are well worth visiting. From Leipzig to London to Vancouver, there will be a lot of hitting the keys, as millions of dollars in prize money are at stake. Take a look at the best eSport betting events that are coming up and prepare yourself.

The ESL 2015 in Cologne was the previous CS:GO highlight in Germany with over 10.000 spectators on site and well over 1 million views on Twitch. And the trend is rising!

Why is Esport so popular?

We want to deal with the obligatory question of definition quickly: eSports are multiplayer games that are played at a professional level. The exponential growth of the genre has several reasons:

  • The internet bandwidths are getting bigger and bigger – this opens up completely new streaming possibilities (best example: twitch.tv)
  • Cloud computing is becoming increasingly mature and is leading to new features
  • Some games became incredible successes (LoL, Dota2, CS:GO)
  • The prize money grows to undreamt-of heights (among others through well-known sponsors)

Meanwhile the interest of young and computer-affine people in particular is growing enormously. To illustrate this: In the year 2000 only 10 tournaments were played worldwide, ten years later there were already 260. In 2013 Dota 2 came on the market and less than two years later a Dota2 tournament reached a prize money of 18 million (!) dollars. All final rounds now fill stadiums and the players are superstars.

Almost all professional players come from the USA, followed by South Korea, China, Germany and Sweden. The target group in turn recruits over 60% of its players from 18-34 year olds. In 2015, around 200 million people will have watched eSports events live. So it is high time to take the topic more seriously, especially as betting providers are recording increasing eSports bets.

With some (mainly Scandinavian) bookmakers, eSports have made it into the top 10 most popular sports within a very short time. Some analysts in the betting market assume that in terms of the number of bets placed, even King Football will be replaced in the medium term. Although we dare to doubt that, it is nevertheless worth taking a closer look at what is currently possible.

ESPORTS BETTING TIPS

Soon a forum will be available where you can exchange ideas about eSports. The goal is to be a kind of free contact point for eSport betting tips, but until then we still have to work on some construction sites. As you can see, we have a lot of plans to become the first eSports address on the German speaking web.
