CSGO: FaZe Clan wins ESL Pro League 15 and goes to the World Final

After beating ex-Gambit and favorites Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan got revenge against their pool opponents and returned to the top of the HLTV ranking of the best CS:GO teams.

First Qualification for BLAST Premier World Final 2022: FaZe Clan earned the first major CS:GO victory of the season by winning the ESL Pro League Season 15 this weekend. With a slightly revised roster at the beginning of the year, with olofmeister being benched (again), the structure showed that it is still there in the big events, after winning the IEM XVI Katowice against G2 in February. A second win in a row that is good for morale for the team, which had hardly won anything for years: a European IEM pool in 2020, the BLAST Pro Series in 2019, and nothing great since 2018.

Coming out of their group without shining, FaZe had gone 3-2 with only 13 points difference, qualifying for the playoffs with a small 3rd place. Natus Vincere was as often ultra favorite, especially after finishing their group with a 5-0 and +76, clearly the best team in the competition at that time. But fate decided otherwise. After passing the first round of the finals by eliminating Players (the new Gambit team that is not allowed to play under the Russian banner), FaZe defeated Natus Vincere in the quarters 2-0 and then FURIA in the semis. In the final, the structure took its revenge on ENCE, which had also made an interesting journey in the same pool as its opponent, by beating them 3-1.

In BLAST points, NaVi is dangerously close to the second place in G2, still far behind FaZe. Next up: the European qualifiers for the PGL Major in Antwerp on April 17. By the way, FaZe is back at the top of the HLTV ranking for the last 4 years, thus becoming the best CS structure in the world.
