LoL: patch 12.7 available and wants to shake up the meta

Riot has launched its patch 12.7 ahead of the MSI 2022. Jayce or Lee Sin are weakened, and several champions are buffed to encourage new choices. The rewards of the second split are also revealed.

Riot Games announces right away the color: „you didn't see it coming“ but the 12.7 patch of League of Legends is available and „wants to shake up the meta“. Of course, the 12.8 patch is scheduled for the upcoming MSI, so a first change for the pro game was expected. The studio wants to encourage a little more varied choices of champions and takes advantage of this update to make the heaviest adjustments, in order to dedicate the 12.8 to tinkering.

That's why many champions are buffed, including Pantheon and Wukong, while powerful items are weakened, such as Wind Force and Winter's Approach. On the toplane, Jayce has his HP and armor reduced to make him more fragile at the beginning of the game, but ensure a progression curve at the end. The same goes for Lee Sin in the jungle, who is less of a threat at the start of the game with lower damage.

New arcane-themed skins will also be online starting April 14, 2022, for Ahri, Hecarim, Ryze, Xayah and Rakan.

Finally, the second ranked split will begin on April 22 at 11:59pm. Exclusive rewards for the 2nd split include: a Renata Glasc Summoner icon, Renata Glasc emotes, a Renata Glasc permanent champion, and a Series 1 Eternals capsule.
