Call of Duty Unveils Season 3 Content Plan for Black Ops 7 and Warzone

Season 3 launches on April 2 and delivers a wide content rollout across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. You gain access to new maps, modes, weapons, and limited-time events throughout the season, with additional updates arriving at the mid-season refresh.

Multiplayer Maps and Modes

You can expect nine multiplayer maps during Season 3. Five maps go live on day one, with the remaining arenas arriving later in the season.

Two familiar modes return at launch and mid-season:

  • Demolition returns on day one.
  • Aim High comes back during Season 3 Reloaded.
  • A new Snipers Only playlist joins the rotation mid-season.

Treyarch also introduces Freerun, a competitive mode built around movement and speed. You race across a purpose-built map called Ascent, designed specifically for climbing, wall-running, and fast traversal.

Freerun supports 10 players per match, challenging you to reach the finish line first. A themed in-game event tied to the mode will offer additional rewards during the Reloaded update.

Weapons and Battle Pass Additions

Season 3 expands your loadout options with new firearms at launch and during the mid-season event.

Available at launch (Battle Pass):

Weapon Type Key Traits
MK35 ISR Assault Rifle Fully automatic, low recoil, strong accuracy
VST Submachine Gun Lightweight, high mobility, strong handling

During the Reloaded update, you can unlock additional weapons through a limited-time event:

  • Strider 300 sniper rifle
  • 1911 pistol
  • Siren special weapon

These additions broaden your choices across close-quarters, mid-range, and long-distance engagements.

Zombies Expansion: Totenreich

Zombies receives a new map titled Totenreich in the mid-season update. The setting places you in a secluded Norwegian fishing town affected by Group 935 experiments.

The island remains suspended in time after Dark Aether interference reshaped the area. You explore new environments, uncover narrative threads, and face fresh survival challenges tied to the altered landscape.

Warzone Updates and Map Changes

Verdansk evolves with the addition of a new point of interest called Launch Pad. This area reshapes part of the map’s flow and creates new engagement zones.

Raven Software also integrates Avalon into the standard Battle Royale experience following the popularity of Black Ops Royale. You can expect additional modes, events, and playlist updates throughout the season.

Season 3 continues the post-launch support for Black Ops 7, originally released on November 14, 2025, and maintains its Mature 17+ rating.
