Assassins Creed Shadows Winter 2026 Roadmap

Ubisoft continues to expand Assassin’s Creed Shadows with a detailed winter roadmap that outlines what you can expect in early 2026. After launching in March 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the game received steady updates and the Claws of Awaji expansion later that year, followed by a Switch 2 release.

As the newest chapter in the long-running Assassin–Templar conflict, the game remains a priority for ongoing support. This latest roadmap signals that you can expect meaningful additions and feature updates, not just routine fixes, as the new year begins.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Parkour Updates Incoming, Switch 2 DLC Launch in March

You will see the first wave of winter changes land on February 17, with traversal improvements leading the update. Ubisoft adds a fully manual jump option, giving you more direct control during rooftop runs and tight escapes. This feature responds directly to player feedback and reshapes how you approach vertical movement.

To spotlight the new mechanic, the team is launching a community parkour challenge. You must record a single-take clip between 45 and 60 seconds that shows skilled movement using manual jump. Post your entry on X with the hashtag #ACShadowsParkourChallenge before March 8.

The timeline looks like this:

  • February 17: Manual jump, stat page, critical hit visual updates, challenge begins
  • March 8: Submission deadline
  • March 16: Community voting
  • March 20: One-year anniversary events

You and other players will vote on standout entries starting March 16. Selected creators can earn limited physical rewards, including a signed vinyl soundtrack and collector-focused items.

The February 17 update also expands your access to combat data. A new detailed statistics page lets you review gear performance more precisely, making build optimization clearer. Visual feedback for critical hits will also appear sharper and more noticeable during combat.

Switch 2 players receive a major addition on March 10. The Claws of Awaji expansion arrives on Nintendo’s new system and also rolls out for the Premium Edition. This DLC had been absent from the Switch 2 release until now.

In Claws of Awaji, you gain access to:

  • A new region to explore
  • Additional enemy archetypes
  • New weapons for Naoe
  • More than 10 hours of story content

The expansion continues the narrative following the main game’s epilogue. If you pre-ordered, you receive it at no extra cost.

The winter roadmap concludes on March 20, marking one year since launch. Ubisoft plans live streams and community giveaways to close out the first year of post-launch support, though it has not shared full event details yet.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows originally launched on March 20, 2025, developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. The game carries an Mature 17+ rating for blood, gore, intense violence, and language.

With manual jump now under your control and the missing expansion finally reaching Switch 2, March stands out as a defining month for how you experience traversal, combat tuning, and ongoing story content.
