Customizable Artifacts Overview

Apex Legends‘ latest season has introduced a game-changing feature that allows players to tailor a Mythic-tier melee weapon known as Artifacts for their characters. These unique weapons can be personalized using Exotic Shards, which players can obtain from the in-game store or through special in-game events. For instance, players who engage with the Upheaval Battle Pass can gather up to ten shards.

  • Artifact Enhancement: Each Artifact can go through four levels of customization, each requiring additional Exotic Shards.
  • Cobalt Katar: Players who previously obtained the Cobalt Katar from the Shadow Society event will benefit from their prior acquisition as they enter the new season.

New Gameplay Features

The Upheaval season re-introduces the Solo Limited Time Mode (LTM) much to the delight of fans, replacing the Duos mode. It's available from May 7th to June 24th and includes:

  • Battle Sense: This new feature helps players detect nearby adversaries.
  • Fully Kitted Weapons: Players may now find these weapons in crates across the map.
  • Second Chance Mechanic: Defeated players have the opportunity to re-enter the battle.

Additionally, the Broken Moon map welcomes new Points of Interest (POIs) and orbits the space between Cleo and Boreas.
