The League of Legends event begins on July 15, bringing together qualified teams from around the world for international competition. As qualifiers wrap up in the coming weeks, you will see the final lineup take shape for one of the summer’s major esports events.
Tournament format
You compete in a 16-team field that includes the defending champion, Gen.G, along with title winners from the LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL. Additional spots go to teams that advance through regional online qualifiers, completing the lineup.

The event opens with a four-group stage using a double-elimination (GSL) structure. Each group contains four teams. You play elimination matches as best-of-three (Bo3) series, while all other group matches use a best-of-one (Bo1) format. The top two teams from each group move on to the knockout phase.
The playoffs run as a single-elimination bracket. Every match is Bo3, except the grand final, which is Bo5. Teams compete for a $2 million prize pool, and the champion also earns a direct place at the 2027 edition.
