Arc Raiders April Update Delayed

You will need to wait a little longer for the next ARC Raiders update. Embark Studios has pushed patch 1.23.0 back by 24 hours, moving its release to April 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC as the team finalizes the latest round of fixes and improvements.

You have seen steady support for the extraction shooter since its late 2025 launch, which earned Best Multiplayer at The Game Awards. Embark continues to expand the game with regular weekly patches and larger content drops, building on additions such as the Stella Montis map and the formidable Matriarch enemy while outlining a long-term plan to support the title for years to come.

ARC Raiders‘ Next Update Will Release April 8

Embark Studios has pushed its next ARC Raiders patch back by one day. Instead of arriving on Tuesday, April 7, Update 1.23.0 will now deploy on Wednesday, April 8 at the studio’s usual rollout time.

You can download the update at the following times:

Region Release Time
PT 2:00 AM
ET 5:00 AM
BST 10:00 AM

The patch will go live simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

This update follows the larger Flashpoint release on March 31, which introduced the Close Scrutiny map condition, two additional weapons, and a new ARC threat. In contrast, Patch 1.23.0 focuses on smaller-scale fixes and refinements rather than new gameplay systems.

Embark has not published full patch notes yet. However, the studio confirmed that the update will introduce the Vanguard Set, a new cosmetic bundle that you can purchase in the in-game store using Raider Tokens. If you have been saving currency, you will have a new customization option once the servers update.

You should not expect weapon tuning, new maps, or major balance adjustments in this release. The scope appears limited to bug fixes and general stability improvements.

One issue many players want addressed involves the Tick enemy interaction bug. After Flashpoint launched, some players reported that if a Tick attaches to you while you are holding a Battery or Field Crate, you cannot remove it. In these cases, you often lose your gear due to unavoidable damage. Although the situation occurs under specific conditions, enough players have encountered it to raise concern.

It remains unclear whether Patch 1.23.0 will resolve this problem, but the timing suggests Embark aims to smooth out post-Flashpoint issues before the next major content drop.

You still have several weeks to wait for April’s larger roadmap update. The upcoming Riven Tides release is expected to add:

  • A brand-new map
  • A large ARC enemy comparable in scale to the Queen or Matriarch
  • Additional content tied to the evolving 2026 roadmap

Based on the current schedule pattern, that update will likely arrive near the end of the month.

For now, April 8 brings a maintenance-focused patch. If you play regularly, you should notice incremental improvements and new cosmetic options rather than sweeping gameplay changes.

Have your say!
