You can pick up “Mapping the Living Lands” early in Avowed when you meet Sanza near a cart outside Paradis. He asks you to track down four missing cartographers who set out to map different regions of the Living Lands, adding a multi-region side quest to your journal.
The task becomes less direct once you begin. The game only shows quest markers when you reach the general area of each cartographer, and it does not guide you back to Sanza after you recover their maps. You also will not find him where you first met him, which forces you to track down his new location to turn in the quest.
Where to Find Sanza in Avowed
You won’t find Sanza at his earlier spot once Mapping the Living Lands progresses. The game quietly moves him, which makes backtracking to his former location a waste of time.
Travel to Paradis and enter the Administration District. From there, climb the wide staircase leading north to reach the Paradis Highlands, a separate map area distinct from the main city layout.
Once inside the Highlands, follow the street ahead and keep to the right-hand side. After a short walk, you’ll see a large red building on your right. Check your map and confirm the label: Sanza’s Emporium.

Inside the shop, Sanza stands behind the counter. Speak with him to report any cartographers you have located for the quest.
Each time you discover a missing cartographer in one of the game’s regions, return here to update the quest and claim your reward. You can also browse his inventory and purchase items while you’re there.
Sanza’s Emporium also contains a Totem of Rightful Rulership piece. If you are collecting totem fragments, check the shop carefully before leaving.
Keep this location in mind throughout your playthrough. You will return here multiple times as you complete each regional cartography objective.
