Galawain’s Tusks holds some of the last treasure hunts you can complete in Avowed, including a map known as The Blade That Hungers. You can buy this map from Bulti in Solace Keep, located on the upper floor of the city, and add it to your quest journal to begin the search.
The map promises a powerful melee weapon, but its directions offer little detail beyond a rocky spot near a tower. You need to interpret the vague clues carefully as you explore the region to uncover the exact location of this hidden reward.
The Blade That Hungers Treasure location in Avowed
Travel to the northern edge of Galawain’s Tusks to begin tracking down this treasure. Start northwest of Solace Keep and continue upward until you enter the Ash Forest region.
From there, push farther north into the mountains. Keep to the area just west of The Living Archives, where the terrain becomes steeper and more confined.
You need to locate a narrow opening along the mountainside near a spider nest in the Ash Forest. The entrance looks like a small crevice rather than a clear path, so move carefully along the rock walls until you spot it.
Pass through the tight passage. The interior path bends several times, so follow it steadily until it opens on the other side.
At the end of the crevice, you will find a glowing gold chest. Open it to claim:
- Umbral Needle (Unique one-handed melee weapon)
- Completion of The Blade That Hungers treasure objective
The Umbral Needle suits melee-focused builds and works well if you fight at close range. You can pair it with a strong shield for added defense, especially if you prefer a balanced offensive and defensive setup.
