Valorant: Fracture and Lotus Reworks

You can expect changes to the competitive map pool in VALORANT Act II, with Corrode and Abyss rotating out. In their place, Fracture and Lotus are set to return, shifting how you approach ranked play and team strategy.

Reports also point to updates for both returning maps in V26A2, which could alter layouts, pacing, or key choke points. As these adjustments take shape, you may need to adapt your agent choices and map control plans to stay competitive.

Corrode and Abyss Exit Competitive Rotation

You will see Corrode and Abyss removed from the competitive map pool at the end of the current Act. Act I concludes on March 17, and the rotation will update immediately after the reset.

The outgoing and incoming maps line up as follows:

Leaving Rotation Entering Rotation
Corrode Fracture
Abyss Lotus

You can also expect possible adjustments to the returning maps. Early reports point to minor updates for Fracture and Lotus, though Riot has not confirmed any specific changes.

Lotus map update

Recent leaks tied to V26A2 point to noticeable layout edits on Lotus, especially around A site and mid control.

On A site, you no longer deal with the stair-side wall. Its removal cuts down on tight angles, so you clear fewer corners when you push in. This change simplifies entry paths and slightly reduces defender hiding spots.

Mid also looks adjusted. The boxes near A Main appear removed, which alters how you contest early control and limits certain cover options. Expect more direct sightlines when you fight for space.

The spike plant zone on A now spans a wider area. You gain more flexibility when choosing safe plant positions, but defenders must cover additional ground during retakes.

Rotation timing shifts as well:

  • You cannot rotate as quickly from A to B through the main connector.
  • Defenders face fewer sudden flanks from fast A pivots.

No concrete details have surfaced for Fracture yet, but Lotus clearly targets pacing and site balance.
