Roblox: Pet Releaser Update Adopt Me

Adopt Me!’s February 21 update refreshes the Pet Releaser feature and introduces a new set of rewards for the extra pets in your inventory. You can now turn unused pets into updated benefits through a reworked system designed to make the process more direct.

The update also replaces the large Valentine’s Heartbreak Event heart with a dedicated Pet Releaser area, temporarily relocated from the Nursery. You can access it quickly by selecting the Task Board icon on the left side of your screen, along with exploring the latest patch changes added in this release.

Latest Updates to the Pet Releaser System in Adopt Me!

The revised Pet Releaser now lets you exchange unwanted pets for Tickets, a currency used in a dedicated reward shop. You access the feature by speaking with Tom in the updated Pet Releaser area and selecting the pets you want to remove from your inventory.

Once you confirm a release, you cannot restore that pet. Review each selection carefully before you proceed.

Earning Tickets Efficiently with the Updated Pet Releaser

Your Ticket payout depends on the pet’s rarity. Higher tiers grant more, and evolved forms multiply rewards significantly.

Pet Rarity Base Tickets Neon Tickets Mega Neon Tickets
Common 100 2,000 10,000
Uncommon 125 2,500 12,500
Rare 150 3,000 15,000
Ultra-Rare 300 6,000 30,000
Legendary 900 18,000 90,000

Neon pets award 20× the base value, while Mega Neon pets grant 100× the base amount. These multipliers make evolved pets the most efficient source of Tickets.

You also receive bonus Tickets for potion-enhanced pets:

  • +300 Tickets for Fly pets
  • +150 Tickets for Ride pets

To farm Tickets steadily, buy low-cost eggs such as the Cracked Egg from the Nursery. Hatch duplicates, combine four of the same pet into a Neon, and release it for a higher return.

Although Legendary pets pay more individually, you often progress faster by mass-hatching Common and Uncommon pets. Building multiple Neon versions of lower-rarity pets can produce consistent mid-tier payouts.

Updated Pet Releaser Reward Store

The Ticket shop sits directly behind Tom. You spend your earned currency here on pets and eggs.

Reward Ticket Cost
Dire Wolf 3,000
Giant Panda 2,000,000
Basic Egg 400
Crystal Egg 4,000

The Dire Wolf joins the shop as a new addition. The Giant Panda returns for a limited period after its previous appearance in 2025.

Because availability is time-limited for select pets, you need a steady Ticket strategy if you plan to unlock higher-cost rewards.

Egg Availability in the Current Update

This update does not introduce new egg types.

You can purchase the Basic Egg and Crystal Egg, both previously tied to the Pet Releaser system. These eggs remain part of the reward structure rather than expanding the existing hatch pool.

Additional adjustments and recent stability fixes in the Pet Releaser update

Updated hatch rates for Basic and Crystal Eggs

You now face revised drop rates when opening the Basic Egg and Crystal Egg. The Basic Egg still focuses on lower-tier pets, but the exact probabilities have shifted.

Rarity Basic Egg Crystal Egg
Common 59.75% 0%
Uncommon 35% 0%
Rare 4% 50%
Ultra Rare 0.99% 44%
Legendary 0.25% 5.90%
Legendary Giant Panda 0.01% 0.10%

You now have a small chance to hatch a Legendary Giant Panda from both eggs. The Crystal Egg no longer includes Common or Uncommon pets, which increases its focus on higher rarities.

Recent bug fixes and gameplay corrections

You can now recolor the Mega Neon Cryptid correctly.

You can also open Monkey and Gorilla Boxes again if you follow the standard sequence. Using Baby Formula while holding an egg no longer duplicates the item.

The update fixes painting issues for the Golden Unicorn, restores proper color tabs for the Elephant, and ensures the Mega Neon Lava Dragon profile shows its painted color accurately.

All XP earned in the Pet Pen now counts toward the task “They Grow Up So Fast.” Language support issues have also been addressed.
