Wuthering Waves Update 3 1: Full Patch Notes and New Features

Since its launch in May 2024, Wuthering Waves has attracted a large player base across PC and mobile platforms. You can see its strong reception in user ratings, with high scores on Steam, Google Play, and the App Store reflecting steady engagement and community support.

The game continued to expand throughout 2025 with frequent updates, major content additions, and multiple industry awards recognizing its ongoing development. Now in Version 3.1, you can expect the developers to keep building on that momentum as they move further into 2026.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.1 Expands Its Sci-Fi Focus and Refines Core Systems

Version 3.1 pushes the ongoing narrative forward with Chapter III, Act III and opens the frozen expanse of the Roya Frostlands. This new zone continues the game’s approach of blending grounded cultural influences with futuristic technology, giving you another large space to explore within the 35-square-kilometer world.

You also gain access to two new five-star Resonators:

  • Aemeath (Fusion / Sword) – central to the current story arc and designed around a distinct sci-fi combat identity
  • Luuk Herssen (Spectro / Gauntlet) – a new frontline option with a contrasting playstyle

Aemeath stands out for her advanced combat mechanics, including the ability to summon and merge with a mech. This design leans further into the series’ science-fiction themes while adding visual variety and mechanical depth to encounters.

Beyond characters and story, Version 3.1 strengthens traversal. The Expedition Motorbike, first introduced in the 3.X cycle through Startorch Academy, receives meaningful upgrades:

Feature Improvement in 3.1
Water Travel Cross large bodies of water directly
Mobile Controls Smoother handling and responsiveness
Autopilot More reliable automated navigation
Fast Travel Enhanced integration for quicker movement

These changes reduce friction as you move between objectives and make exploration feel more fluid. You can also incorporate the motorbike into combat scenarios, reinforcing its role as more than a cosmetic mount.

Quality-of-life adjustments form a major part of this update. Material farming now requires fewer repetitive steps, which shortens upgrade preparation time. Performance optimization targets both PC and mobile, and mobile visuals receive noticeable refinement. These technical changes aim to stabilize frame rates and improve clarity during high-intensity battles.

To support roster expansion, the update provides up to 40 free pulls through in-game rewards and events. If you are new, this helps you assemble a functional team faster. If you already play regularly, it gives you additional flexibility when targeting limited banners.

  • Genre: Action RPG, Open-World
