Warzone: What is the new Vanguard Royale?
With the new map in Call of Duty: Vanguard, there is also a new game mode: Vanguard Royale. What's so special about this Battle Royale? We find the answers.
On Wednesday of this week, December 8, the Warzone map was changed…: The old Verdansk became the new Warzone Pacific map: Caldera. The new map shines with a Pacific island look. Along with it, there are also a few completely new game modes. Here we explain the first Battle Royale mode: Vanguard Royale.
What are the rules of Vanguard Royale?
In principle, Vanguard Royale follows the classic Battle Royale rules: A crowd of players is set loose in an area, the area gets smaller, players have to wipe each other out. Vanguard Royale advertises that unlike other Battle Royale titles like Fortnite, it doesn't lose its speed in mid-game and become boring. This is achieved, among other things, by the fact that the area circle is supposed to close much faster than is the case in the usual Battle Royals.
Verdansk has gone dark.
In twelve hours, Caldera will welcome new visitors. 🏝️ #Warzone Pacific Early Access begins at 9 AM PST on December 8th.

As for the vehicles, we expect a lot from the new mode as well, of course. While the entire setting and everything generally available in terms of equipment and weapons will be based on the World War II setting, within that the variance remains huge. Additionally, the hilly map naturally offers immense amounts of places to hide. A solid additional Battle Royale in Vanguard style with a focus on close combat, we'll see if it can meet the requirements.
