Vitality form super team in European ‚League of Legends‘ competition

It's been a while since Team Vitality competed for first place in the ‚LEC‘ and they clearly want to change that.

Team Vitality brings no less than three new players to their team and they are all big names within the ‚League of Legends‘ competitions. They are strengthening themselves with midlaner Luka ‚Perkz‘ Perkovic, botlaner Matyáš ‚Carzzy‘ Orság and topplaner Barney ‚Alphari‘ Morris. All players regarded as the best options in their roles. Jungler Oskar ‚Selfmade‘ Bodarek and support Labros ‚Labrov‘ Papoutsakis are the only remaining players from last season and complete the team.

It is obvious that Vitality has put a lot of money on the table to put the team together. Mid laner Perkz left last season for Cloud9 in the North American league, which picked him up from G2 Esports for over 4 million euros. So Vitality had to buy out his contract with Cloud9 again. They did the same for Alphari, who signed a multi-million dollar contract with Team Liquid last year. Botlaner Carzzy was a free agent, but won the LEC in the past two splits, so his salary is also quite high.

According to several sources, Team Vitality also tried to put together a similar team last year, also with Alphari and Perkz, but due to their transfers to North America, it fell through. This time, however, it worked out well and according to analysts Vitality has a good chance of dominating the LEC this season.
