Vitality Dream Team: and there is also Noodlez
A quintet that would intimidate any opponent: Alphari, Selfmade, Perkz, Carzzy, Labrov. This is the Vitality team for 2022, to which is added for the happiness of us Italians also Dimitri „Noodlez“ Zografos, former G2 Esports, who will play the role of Head Analyst for League of Legends. The French organization, after several rumors, has finally officially revealed the five players who will compete in the Spring Split next year within the LEC, the League of Legends European Championship.
The line-up represents an important evolution of Vitality's competitive path, which started six months ago and ended this year with the sixth place in Summer 2021, after two tenth places and a ninth place obtained in the three previous splits. The most striking purchase is undoubtedly the midlaner Luka „Perkz“ Perkovic, arrived from Cloud9 for a sum between 1.5 and 2 million euros, eight times LEC champion, an LCS title won this year in North America, an MSI title and a world final. Next to him Barney „Alphari“ Morris, toplaner, the confirmation of Oskar „Selfmade“ Boderek in jungle and Labros „Labrov“ Papoutsakis as support, and finally the arrival at parameter zero of Matyáš „Carzzy“ Orság as botlaner, former Mad Lions.
Perkz was the first to tell about his choice: „I'm really happy to come back to Europe with a new team. When I was contacted to be part of it I already knew that they had a real passion and great hunger to win in 2022. I'm ready to give my career an extra boost and I know that in Vitality I will have the chance to build an important legacy.“
Among the protagonists of the Vitality in the next Spring Split there will be also the Italian Dimitri „Noodlez“ Zografos, former G2 Esports, who, as we anticipated on these pages, will cover the role of analyst (head analyst to be precise) of the League of Legends team after the important experience gained in the two previous years in LEC where he won two LEC titles and a world semifinal.
The Vitality have also presented the Academy roster that will face the LFL, the French league: it will include the two survivors of last season Dimitri „Diplex“ Ponomarev and Duncan „Skeanz“ Marquet, respectively midlaner and jungler, in addition to toplaner Mathias „Szygenda“ Jensen, support Jakub „Jactroll“ Skurzyński and botlaner Jesper „Jeskla“ Strömberg.
